Lisbon’s Humberto Delgado Airport has introduced a fixed-price taxi voucher system for city transfers, guaranteeing travelers a predetermined fare before exiting the terminal. Turismo de Lisboa (ATL) administers the program, which divides the city into two fare zones and calculates costs based on destination, travel time, and the number of passengers.
The standard weekday rates apply between 7:00 am and 10:00 pm, with €16 covering trips to Zone 1 and €19 for Zone 2. These prices accommodate up to four passengers and their luggage. Outside standard hours, including weekends, public holidays, and late-night travel, fares increase to €20 for Zone 1 and €23 for Zone 2. For groups exceeding four passengers, weekday daytime fares rise to €20 in Zone 1, while weekend and off-peak trips cost €24 or €28, depending on the destination zone.

The voucher system removes unexpected charges, ensuring passengers pay only the printed amount. Zone 1 encompasses areas such as Alvalade, Parque das Nações, and Santa Clara, while Zone 2 includes Belém, Benfica, and Campo de Ourique. Vouchers can be obtained at the Ask Me Lisboa tourism desk, which operates daily from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm.
The program’s rollout follows broader efforts by ATL to streamline airport transportation options. Previous initiatives included partnerships with ride-sharing services and expanded shuttle routes, but the fixed-price vouchers represent a direct response to passenger feedback about unpredictable taxi fares. Early adoption has been strong, with the tourism desk reporting high demand within the first week of operation.
