Waterstone Spa has opened the Amethyst Lounge in downtown Ashland, offering guests a dedicated wellness space for relaxation, mindfulness and small gatherings before or after treatments.
The intimate lounge offers guests a setting to gather, relax and reset as part of their spa experience. Inspired by the natural appearance of purple quartz amethyst and its longstanding association with spirituality and meditation, the lounge incorporates amethyst and geode specimens, soft lighting, comfortable seating, a wall fountain and layered textures.
The design also incorporates a gentle breeze as part of the sensory environment created within the space.
Becky Neuman, co-owner of Waterstone Spa and the Neuman Hotel Group, said: “We wanted to create a space where guests can step away from the pace of everyday life and simply pause, be present and reconnect. Sometimes the most meaningful part of wellness is simply having a place to slow down, and the Amethyst Lounge is an extension of that experience – a peaceful space where guests can reset and leave feeling restored.”

Waterstone Spa is located in downtown Ashland, opposite the historic Ashland Springs Hotel. The Amethyst Lounge is now available to spa guests for periods of relaxation as well as small gatherings before or after treatments. The space was envisioned and designed by Neuman and reflects her approach to incorporating previously unexpected spaces into the overall guest experience.
