St. Kitts has begun constructing a new cruise terminal at Port Zante, which will support turnaround operations and expanded homeporting services. The project is part of the island’s wider tourism development strategy.

Government officials, tourism stakeholders, and industry partners attended the official new ceremony. Port Zante has received millions of cruise visitors in recent years, supporting local businesses and national economic activity.

Expanding Cruise Tourism

The new terminal aims to increase visitor spending, overnight stays, and air connectivity, bringing broader economic benefits to the Federation. It’s a key component of the Government’s strategy to strengthen resilience in the cruise tourism sector.

St. Kitts is scheduled to begin turnaround operations for two P&O Cruises vessels in November 2027. The Port Zante cruise terminal will include security screening and immigration systems for passengers embarking and disembarking.
